A new powerful 32 inch LCD TV
If you are a fan of Vizio TVs, then you’ll be happy to know that the company released a new one last year. They decided to call it Vizio E322. Their new product has the following description: “Vizio’s LCD HDTV with VIZIO Internet Apps puts the best of the web right on your TV screen, giving you the convenience of on-demand movies, TV shows, social networking, music, photos and more at the push of a button.” Is this all true? Or you should perhaps look somewhere else? We tested the device and invite you to find out the answer from our review.
We will first take a look at how the TV does when it comes to design. Vizio is a brand that is renowned for producing attractive devices; its E322 model is stylish and sleek with its black bezel and stand. As for color, the product comes only in black, but that only adds to its shiny elegant exterior. Thankfully the stand looks and feels solid, because we accidentally hit the TV and it didn’t fall from the desk we kept it on. The device is an excellent choice if you happen to have kids in the house.
Moving on, we noticed the device measured 3.5″ x 31.2″ x 20.8″; it is, therefore, a slim TV when compared to others on the market. Its weight of 11kg also makes it easy to move from room to room.
Superb details and clarity provided
When taking the gadget out of the box it came in we needed less than 15 minutes to set it up, so new users won’t need to worry about this aspect.
Let’s now find out how big the screen is. The team at Vizio has thought of including a 32″ LCD HDTV; and, to go with that, they installed 1920 x 1080 pixels, 60 Hz refresh rate, 1.06 billion colors, 5ms response time, 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 500 nits brightness. The resolution of Vizio E322 provides 2.000.000 pixels which, in their turn, offer superb details and clarity. The fast response time made sure, when we tested the TV for this review, to eliminate motion blurs whenever we watched fast-paced movies or sports programs; in comparison, other such devices come with 8ms response time.
Ambient light sensor
When we first turned the Vizio E322 on we were nearly blinded by the 500 nits brightness, but we managed to adjust it to a normal value for our eyes. The refresh rate wasn’t that great as, say, a value of 120Hz. The ambient light sensing technology that is preinstalled does a very good job, because it automatically adjusts backlight levels to fit the brightness of the product’s surroundings.
We also tested how the TV would fare in the viewing angle department and the results were good: the 178-degree horizontal and vertical angle made it easy to watch the Vizio E322 from wherever place we sat in.
Wi-Fi Internet access
As expected, the sound is pretty good. The E322 LCD TV sports 2 10-Watt speakers with SRS TruSurround and SRS TruVolume.
As for connectivity, the TV has 1 USB, 3 HDMI, 1 computer input, 1 Ethernet and many more. There’s also built-in Wireless-N Wi-Fi. Vizio’s Internet Apps – or VIA – made it easy to connect to the World Wide Web and listen to music, watch movies and much more.
In the box we found a programmable universal remote control, power cord, user’s manual, registration card and quick start guide. As for warranty, the E322 One year parts and labor along with free lifetime technical support. The TV exceeds new ENERGY STAR 4.1 guidelines.
So, the review conclusion is that, if you want a new LCD HDTV, one of the best options available in this moment is the new Vizio E322.
