VIZIO E320ME

VIZIO-E320ME

A new 32 inch LCD HDTV

Fans of Vizio will be delighted to know that the company has manufactured another TV especially for them. The new E320ME is expected to both attract new users and keep its already large fanbase. In the past, the team at Vizio has released from good to great TVs with superior performance, nice features all at affordable prices. If you are interested to know whether the company’s latest device is worth a buy or not, read our following test and review.

Good contrast ratio

Vizio is known to produce eye-candy devices; the latest E320ME is just like that. The TV comes in black and is both stylish and sleek with its glossy bezel and stand. On the front you’ll see a 32″ LCD CCFL display with the following: 720p resolution, 16:9 image aspect ratio, 15.000:1 image contrast ratio, 6o refresh rate, 16.7 million colors and, finally, 8.5ms response time. The product is 3.3″ x 30.8″ x 21.6″ and measures 9.52kg; with such measurements and weight you won’t have problems if you decide to move the TV from one room to the other. During our test we were delighted to see that we shouldn’t have worried about the stand, because it was a very solid and stable one; we highly recommend Vizio TVs to families who have small children. The 178 degrees viewable angle offered the possibility to watch content both from a horizontal and a vertical standing point.VIZIO-E320ME

Just 720p resolution

We shall now focus on the E320ME screen’s specifications. The dynamic contrast ratio was among the best ones we’ve encountered so far, because it provided beautiful colors, dark black levels and bright whites. The 720p resolution wasn’t as great as the 1080p one found on other TVs, but it still managed to deliver good details and sharpness. Unfortunately, the response time wasn’t as impressive as we wanted it to be; we would have preferred a 2ms or 5ms which would have better prevented and gotten rid of motion blur. The refresh rate delivered 60 scenes per second, but didn’t offer great details; it wasn’t that bad, either, but 240Hz would have been ideal.

Ambient Light Sensing technology

The Vizio we decided to review today also comes with the famous Ambient Light Sensing technology which makes sure the picture doesn’t appear too bright and washed out; it does that by automatically adjusting backlight levels to the brightness of its surroundings.
The Vizio E320ME sports the following in terms of connectivity: 1 USB 2.0, 3 HDMI, 1 VGA, 1 stereo audio and many more. On the downside, the product has no Ethernet, no composite and no headphones connections. The 3 HDMI ports made it possible to connect a Blu-ray player, accommodate cable TV and so on and watch content in HD. Also, the device offers support for photos (JPEGs).

SRS TruSurround

As for audio quality: the E320ME ships with a pair of stereo speakers that include SRS TruSurround and SRS TruVolume. As usual, the sound wasn’t as good as that on other models.
Now if you don’t want to pay a lot on electrical bills, the E320ME consumes only 140 Watts; it is also able to leave a smaller carbon footprint on the environment, thanks to its Energy Star 4.2 certification.
In the warranty department, this product offers 1-year for labor and parts along with free lifetime technical support.

Review conclusion

Once again, after the test performed by our review team we can say that Vizio has outdone itself with its E320ME HDTV which delivers solid performance.
