Viore LED26VF50

Viore-LED26VF50

A new 26 inch LED HDTV

While not as famous as Samsung, Toshiba, LG and the like, Viore offers nice options to consider if you want to buy a TV. Various people we talked to have had Viore TVs for many years and they had little to complain when we asked them about their performance. We wanted to see for ourselves whether to buy one or not. So we tested the company’s latest LED26VF50. Here is our review and what we think.

1080p Full HD resolution

The product is a rather nice-looking one with its black glossy bezel and stand; the latter looked solid and passed our own “shaking desk it sits on/hitting it by accident” test with flying colors. By measuring 26.0″ x 19.7″ x 8.5″ and weighing 7.84, the TV qualifies as a thin and rather light one, especially when compared to some of the massive ones out there. The screen of LED26VF50 is a 26″ Class LED-LCD (measured diagonally from corner to corner) endowed with a 1080p full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080, 16:9 aspect ratio, 60Hz refresh rate, 5ms response time and 400 cd/m2 brightness. The LED backlight made the device look slimmer than others and also delivered, when we tested the TV, very clear and bright images. Viore-LED26VF50

Some settings problems

The resolution of LED26VF50 made things even better by adding nice colors into the mix. As expected, the response time was a good one and it resulted into lack of blurs (which are the nightmare of anyone wanting to watch a fast-paced movie and giving up 5 minutes into it because of a bad TV). The brightness peak was a bit overwhelming to our eyes when we took the device out of its box and turned it on; fortunately we could adjust the level to something which didn’t require a visit to the doctor. We would have liked a better refresh rate, but that’s that. In the box we also found a remote control which presented some problems at first because of its battery compartment. The menus of this device were easy to use when we checked that for our review.

Not impressive sound

The VIVID mode this TV comes with improves the screen’s overall performance by adding more brightness, clarity and beautiful colors. The sound performance wasn’t that bad; of course there are many superior devices out there with better audio quality, but the LED26VF50 still managed to deliver loud, full and natural sound with its built-in speakers; unfortunately, there was no bass audible.
As for power consumption, this product registered 35.4-35.7 Watts when turned on and 0.4 Watts in standby. It doesn’t come with an Energy Star logo, so if you’re customer who is concerned about the impact of the TV on the environment, you should buy another one.

2 HDMI ports

Curious about connectivity options? So were we. Viore’s latest TV ships with the following: 1 USB port, 2 HDMI ports, 3.5mm stereo headphone jack, AC Input Socket, 1 VGA port, RF Antenna port, 3.5mm stereo PC Audio-in jack and so on.
The Viore LED26VF50 sports VESA 200×100 (200 Horizontal and 100 Vertical) mounting possibilities.

Review conclusion

In the end of our review, all we can say about the company’s newest TV model is the fact that the Viore LED26VF50 is a worthy choice if your room is a small one and you don’t need a too complex device to watch your favorite movie, news and so on.
