A new Android tablet

We heard all sorts of good things about Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE. A lot of people seem to enjoy it very much and recommend it to friends and family. Since we’re talking about a Samsung gadget, we expect a lot from this model. Does it deliver? Is it unworthy of a try? We tested the tab and here comes our opinion.

8.9″ PLS TFT capacitative touchscreen

The design of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE is very eye-candy; its color is black and has the following in terms of measurements and weight: 230.9mm x 157.8mm x 8.6mm and 455g; these make the gadget a small and thin one, although not as light as others.
Moving on to the front of the product, you’ll see a large 8.9″ PLS TFT capacitive touchscreen; it features a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels and 16M colors. 1.5 GHz ARM Dual-core processor

The processor used by the Samsung 8.9 LTE is a 1.5 GHz ARM Dual-core; manufacturers installed it with 1GB of RAM memory. As for software, the gadget runs on Android 3.2. These features put together offered great speed and responsiveness when we tested it for this here review.
The 8.9 LTE has 16/32/64 GB for storage. But that’s not all: this value can be expanded up to 32GB, meaning you’ll be able to store a wealth of whatever you like the most. Connectivity-wise, the device comes with numerous options for your day to day entertainment pattern: there are Bluetooth 3.0, 3G, Wi-Fi and so on. When we decided to use the 3G possibility we were able to reach speeds of up to 21Mbps, which was really impressive for all review time.
The device didn’t lack a camera; the 3.15-megapixel one sported 2048 x 1536 pixels of resolution, LED flash and autofocus. These specs resulted in good-looking pictures and videos. It also gave us the option of video calling our friends.

Social network access

If you enjoy Facebook, Twitter and many more social networks that make it easy to connect with whomever you want, you will certainly love the Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, because it is preloaded with them and also includes Picasa, Calendar, Google Maps and the list doesn’t end here.
In the sound category, this tablet offers support for various formats, such as MP4, Xvid, DivX, MP3, OGG and many more. We also saw it had some very nice MP3 ringtones. The 3.5mm jack, 3.5mm hub and Loudspeaker all performed well.
What this gadget shines at are its features: HTML web browser, e-mail, TV-out, digital compass, SMS, HD editor and so on.
