LG Optimus 4X HD

A high definition smartphone

We’re back to talking about a smartphone made by South Korean manufacturer LG. But what can we do if they make such great handsets? Their Optimus 4X HD was, back in February this year, the first handset to sport a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 CPU. The big news was announced during the annual MWC event. This device will show you a great time if you let it inside your heart. OK, enough with the poetic stuff. Let’s get down to business with the following review. It was written immediately after testing the smartphone so that info would be kept fresh in our head.

4.7 inch display

The very first thing that got to us from observing the LG Optimus 4X HD was its touchscreen. We couldn’t take our eyes off of it. Not only because of its 4.7″ dimension, but also because it oozed brilliancy through its every pixel. Speaking of which: we counted a value of 1,280 x 720 pixels. It was capable of doing wonders for for whatever it happened to be on the display at a given moment. LG is, of course, among the best providers of superb touchscreens. They rarely disappoint in this particular area. The one on this model was meant for displaying pictures that are swimming in constant clarity, brightness and crispness.LG-Optimus-4X-HD

Nvidia Tegra 3 Quad-Core processor

Attacking the subject of design, our quick first look told us the following. The LG Optimus 4X HD can pride itself on simple looks. But with such a huge display, anything else would have looked tacky and out of place. The bezel is thin and it’s primary color is black. On the rear is a fake leather coating. It is put there to offer the user comfort when she or he is holding it.

The specs of the Optimus 4X HD are, the majority of them, like the ones sported by the One X courtesy of HTC. This smartphone gets its necessary power from a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 CPU. Its memory is 1GB. And, if we are to continue with comparisons between this handset and the One X, we could say the following. They load up Internet pages quickly. Also, they both have very smooth transitions between applications. Games load up quickly, as well. When you play a game or watch a video, the processor gives its all. It is actually a really helpful and highly convenient helper for developers. If you recognize yourself in these two points, then don’t hesitate and test your skill with the Optimus 4X HD.

Powered by Android 4.0 ICS

16GB of internal storage along with that 1GB are the most important specifications where memory is concerned.

Another very important spec without which a gadget wouldn’t work: an OS. This handset runs on the infamous Ice Cream Sandwich. Or Android 4.0 to put it easier. The UI is one of the easiest and straightforward ones. Which will help newbies a lot. It help us in this review too.

If you wish to snap pics while you’re walking, an 8-megapixel cam is ready to serve you. It has a Backside Illumination sensor that helps with that taking photos on the move idea.

The phone will last a day while running on its 2,150mAh battery. No more than that, especially with its big display and type of CPU.

Review conclusion

Price for the LG Optimus 4X HD is unknown as of yet. But even if that is so, this is a smartphone not to be forgotten as easily as others.
