Just another 47 inch LED HDTV ?
There are more and more companies that start to manufacture various state-of-the-art products to keep in touch with times. LG is one of them. They have invested a lot in technologies that make their devices one of the best today. Their 47LE530C TV is a LED one which wants to push the boundaries of design and deliver superior quality and entertainment ways that we’ve never seen before. Does it rise up to fans of LG? Find out from our review.
1080p full HD resolution
We tested a lot of LED LCD HDTVs in the past, but the LG 47LE530C might just be the most appealing one; at least that’s how we feel. The product comes in black and features a very stylish and shiny bezel and stand. It comes with the following dimensions and weight: 44.3″ x 27.2″ x 1.1″ (without stand) and 15.59kg (again, without the stand). It might not be the most easy to carry around TV, but never mind that, since its profile is a slim 1.2″.
On the front sits a beautiful 47″ LCD Commercial widescreen with 1080p full HD and LED backlighting. As for what’s included with the screen, we have the following: 1920 x 1080 resolution, 2.4ms response time, 3.000.000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 16:9 aspect ratio and TruMotion 120Hz.
Good response time
The latter spec of the group is a technology which enables users to play games, watch movies and many more without experiencing blurs; the fast response time further improves things, especially compared to TVs that have 8ms response time. The resolution offered superb colors, clarity and details when we’ve checked this HDTV for our review.
The LG 47LE530C we tested some days ago features some very intriguing and great features, such as 24p playback, XD Engine and an Intelligent Sensor. The first of the three matched the original frame rate of film based content; this meant that we could watch a movie as if we really were at the cinema. This option had the following modes: Real Cinema, Original Film and NTSC Pulldown Solution. The XD Engine is preinstalled on 47LE530C with 6 distinct processes; these improve pictures by transforming the low resolution of analog signals to reach HD levels which translate into great contrast, brightness, colors and reduced signal noise, so that customers will watch whatever they want in the best conditions.
A lot of connectors
Finally, the Intelligent Sensor did a marvelous job by automatically examining the environment the TV sat in and optimizing the image to the color and light conditions.
Moving on to the connectivity aspect, the latest TV coming from LG sports 1 USB, 4 HDMI, 1 PC Audio, 1 VGA and 1 headphone jack, just to name a few of the various ports, inputs, outputs and so on which give you various possibilities. The LG 47LE530C also comes with Parental Lock, Clock, Menu Language (of which there are 4: English, French, Spanish and Korean), Picture Wizard II, Auto Power On and the list goes on.
Infinite Sound Surround
In the sound performance department, things went well, mainly thanks to the device’s invisible speaker system, Infinite Sound Surround system type and much more cool features.
If you’re worried about power consumption, you shouldn’t be. The LG 47LE530C consumes 0.3 Watts in standby mode and 186 Watts (power saving mode disabled) when working. We were glad to see that we had the possibility to choose energy saving levels. The Intelligent Sensor, Static Power Savings and Dynamic Power Savings also contributed to that. The TV also takes care of the environment by exceeding Energy Star 4.1 guidelines and being RoHS compliant.
These being said, after the test performed by our review team we can consider that the LG 47LE530C HDTV won’t disappoint.
