A nice looking design
In terms of design, the LG 26LV2500 is one good-looking TV; it comes with a glossy black screen and black body and is light. The menu works really well and is easy to use.
Our tests showed the LG 26LV2500 TV has a far better picture quality than its competitors; this is all due to the ISFccc Ready HDTV feature along with the Intelligent Sensor and Picture Wizard ones. The former analyzed lighting conditions in our lab and adjusted the display’s brightness, sharpness, tint, contrast and so on. All we had to do was to use the device’s remote control and access the settings on the screen. The Intelligent Sensor automatically optimized the picture to the color and lighting conditions in the room and works great in the review time.
Smart Energy Saving
The LG 26LV2500 comes with on-screen reference points that assure superb colors, blacks, sharpness, backlight levels and much more.
As with all HDTVs, the Smart Energy Saving feature takes care of the environment while at the same time considerably reducing utility costs.
Some drawbacks for this product: colors look washed-out when we stood up and looked at the screen and also when we moved to each side of it. The audio performance was not at all great, but it improved once we turned the bass up and the treble down.
All in all, after the test performed for our review we can say that the new LG 26LV2500 TV is an appealing product, with both good overall performance and several drawbacks. It is ideal if you don’t have too much space available, but not so ideal if you don’t enjoy small TVs.
