Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 review
A powerful protection suite from Kaspersky Lab
Kaspersky Lab have introduced a new Internet security suite on the market, called Kaspersky Internet security 2012. It is supposed to be a great tool for privacy when using the World Wide Web. But is it all true? We took the program for a spin and here is our review.
Minimum 1GB of RAM
First of all, here are some of the requirements for a better download and installation. The software is available for free download in the trial version. Your computer needs to have an internet connection, Windows XP Service Pack 2 /Vista /7 (both 32 bit and 64 bit), a processor rated at 1Ghz or above, a minimum of 480 MB free hard drive space, 1 GB RAM for a 32 bit operating system / 2GB RAM if you are running 64 bit Windows; if you have a netbook, then it needs to sport the following: Windows XP home or newer, 1 GB or more RAM, an Intel GMA950 video adaptor (or compatible) with at least 64 MB of RAM and 10.1″ + screen size.
Very nice interface
When we tested the new Kaspersky Internet security 2012, we didn’t face any issue during the download and installation processes (installation files were small). After all was completed, we were welcomed by a simple and good-looking interface and the suite soon began its work and actually found some remains of an old Internet security program. We then downloaded the latest update and everything went just fine. The main window was extremely easy to navigate through.
In the features department, the latest KIS 2012 is preinstalled with a wealth of very good ones.
All in all, after this test we can say that the Kaspersky Internet security 2012 is one of the best software for your day to day web surfing.
